Through the letters written by Catherine, the central character in the short film Letters to the Wind, to her mother, observations emerge about the conjunction between memories and imagination, coming from the islands of individual memory that make it possible to access and go through collective dramas. This text is an essay on cinema and its ability to signal and sustain the existence of a place of the other. The essay is also a way of diving into my memories, as a refuge for writing.
